An environment and society with more transparency when it comes to the production of goods and the provision of services can influence how businesses respect basic human rights and decent working conditions. Norway introduced the Transparency Act (Åpenhetsloven) on 1 July 2022 with the desire to improve these areas and facilitate more information to make better choices.
